Forza Horizon 5 XBOX Series X - Justifying Game Pass Ultimate - PC Gamer
2Press SHOW MORE below game box and read my PC only to addition of XBOX S/X opinion.. No Music.. No Talking.. OLD PC Gamer with over 500 games on steam.. doing the XBOX Series X thing, while still using the PC as well.. My XBOX Series X GamePass Ultimate(PC & XBOX Service) had me downloading Forza Horizon 5 for a first look on the XBOX.. Sometimes.. you just have to let go.. and enjoy the ride. I was grinning from the start.. looks great and feels fantastic on the XBOX! As a Steam PC gamer and in comparison price wise.. I am playing this at my $1.00 first month GamePass price and then at 15 bucks a month for both PC and XBOX downloads..
If I just purchased the PC version alone on Steam..it is currently on sale right now.. for Just over 50 bucks.. I see a win here so far for GamePass Ultimate.. I doubt I would have looked at this title at 50 bucks. I usually buy the Motorcycle games. anyways..Forza Horizon 5 looks fantastic.. Time will tell if I will play it for a long time or not though, my mind travels, "squirrel" . Least I didn't spend 50 bucks to find out.. win... Oh and my rewind in the video..I kinda hit something wrong.. but I show everything at first look.. meh.. ha.. Recorded directly on the XBOX Series X.
Now adding up some game cost to date.. So if I purchased the handful of XBOX games I currently have installed, from lets say STEAM... Forza Horizon 5 $50, Hitman 3 $60, MSFS $50, TSW 2 $40, Outerworlds $60, Hunter call of the wild $45 and I have Sniper Elite 5 installed on XBOX X, waiting for release date $60.. which equals $365... for me, I have $1.00 invested and then around Sniper Elite 5 release date, I will start paying $15 bucks a month for that and another hundred+ titles each month.. that's like 2 years service, just to equal the cost of those few games if purchased.. and STEAM doesn't even let me sell "my owned games"! , that I don't play anymore? so I never owned them anyway right? although I do!?! STEAM is like a rental service, but at FULL Price! Just Justifying...
STEAM, at least allow people to sell their titles on Steam and take your cut, Gamestop made a fortune on used games... oh yeah, The XBOX Store has some nice sales as well.. equaling and beating Steam.. I didn't add a few titles I just bought outright in the XBOX Store.. TT Isle of Man 2 $8.. Metro all titles Bundle $15.00.. I am just a dang game buying addict!
many years back.. my oldest son asked about building a PC.. I told him save the money and stick to consoles, they just about rivaled PC's then (Xbox 360 era?) in looks.. I still believe that and the next Gen 3, might just end PC gaming all together.. I mean they are x86 machines anyways with browser, keyboard and mouse support. I'm old.. I'm slow, but I can see the value clearly. oh and I never pay scalper prices.. PS5 still double MSRP? WTH SONY, get your game machine out!
