Video record of a mission to place a large space station in orbit around the Mün in KSP v14.1. Point of interest, the station is so wide that the launch requires a controlled drift away from the gantry to avoid hitting it.

EDIT now we are at v0.20 and the craft file is not compatible but the link below finds the correct thread on the new KSP BB.

Obviously this video contains elements of homage to Kubric's realisation of Clarke's "2001 A Space Odyssey". Not the least of which is an opening utilising a professionally synthesised rendition of Also Sprach Zarathustra. (This and Gymnopedie No.1 both by Kevin McLeod at http://incompetech.com/ - properly attributed and recommended donations made.)

It started out as total fun but during the making, the search for inspiration from much better film makers and musicians than I caused me to raise my own standards a little (not hard since they were pretty low to start with) so I am sorry now that I didn't buy fraps to remove the watermark before I embarked on the project (I have now).

I might have to reshoot the whole thing to get rid of the watermarks one day but for now here it is, as it is. Enjoy!
