Musashi Samurai Legend - Part 70: The Mystical Finale!
At this point, Musashi has stopped all of Gandrake's forces, and brought all of Antheum's Mystics back.
Now, with his audience of Princess Mycella, and the Elemental Maidens of Burrini, Fontina, Mirabo, Maribo, Istara, & Clochette surrounding them, Musashi must prepare himself to face Gandrake for the very final time. This time, it was to the death, and this time, the only thing they will use is their own samurai swords.
----------
This very final fight is much different from the others, but if you know what you're doing, it can be the quickest and easiest fight in the entire game. All you have to do is charge up your Focus Gauge, wait for a moment, then when you see a red "!", ATTACK!
Because of how different this battle is, this took a lot of players by surprise the first time, including me! If you attack without waiting for the prompt to counterattack, or if you wait WAY too long to do anything at all, Gandrake will kill you in one hit, causing a Game Over and making you start this fight over.
I mean... no one likes getting Game Overs in their favorite games, but considering the words of encouragement and hope that ALL of Musashi's girl friends just gave to him earlier, and how you're the only thing standing between Gandrake and their own possible deaths...
Welp... You might end up feeling worse getting a Game Over at all, this time
----------
So Focus and Counterattack Gandrake's move, and, after a brief pause, Sasaki "Ganryu" Kojiro, the former president of his own company, and former pawn of Amestris, will collapse and lie motionless in the fountain's water.
With this done, Musashi has completed his promise to save Antheum from Gandrake's wrath. The Mystics of the village will never forget his name now that he has become the hero he originally thought was wasn't able to do.
He has become a Blade Master, Antheum's savior, the Samurai Legend: Musashi.
----------
During the credits, you'll see different pics of the main characters. Most of them are of the Elemental Maidens, because they really need as much love as the Princess herself does in this game. Most of the music during the credits is even a medley of their own themes!
For the Maidens, they have two pics each for themselves in a "Before & After" fashion. I shall count the ways:
- For Burrini, the Maiden of Earth, her first pic is of her being carried by Musashi through Wellspring Woods. Her second pic is of her having a cute picnic with other Mystics in the same forest.
- For Fontina, the Maiden of Water, her first pic is of her rejection of Musashi's help, moments before she realizes her mistake. Her second pic has her being offered flowers by Selfie. Both pics have her nice blue eyes closed.
- For Mirabo & Maribo, the Twin Maidens of Fire, they're having a chat with Musashi, and he seems to be a bit bewildered by it. Their second pic has Melbec surprisingly joining their school, having turned over a new leaf.
- For Istara, the Maiden of Wind, she has a reunion with her old father figure, Golovin, after Musashi brought her back to him. Her second pic has her returning to Picodon Jungle to see that all of its Picobeans are doing well, and that they now have a baby.
- For Clochette, the Maiden of the Void, her first pic is of her getting angry at Chief Banon for accidentally walking in on her while she was changing her clothes. Her second pic has her out in a beach, wearing s skimpy bikini, all while Master Mew's relaxing there and Glogg & Riesling are fighting over who gets to ogle over her sexy looks.
----------
It looks like all of Gandrake's Directors survived their fights. Rothschid has returned with a new army of Ninjaroids ready to pick up what Gandrake left behind, with Shiraz right at his side. Who knows what they're up to, next?
Gandrake himself manged to survive his duel, as he's now wrapped in bandages in a bed, wondering where he is.
Finally, Mycella gets her own two pics with Musashi. The first one is of Musashi ready to catch Mycella for the first time, and the 2nd one is a cute pic of them looking astonished as someone managed to take a picture of both of them during a tea party.
----------
After the credits, it was time for Musashi to head home. Mycella was able to bring him to her world on her own, but it would take the combined powers of herself, the Maidens, AND their swords to send him back.
THE END
----------
This was a great run, despite some shortcomings. Although I am well-aware that this game wasn't great on its own, nor as a sequel to Brave Fencer Musashi (but still not nearly as bad as, say, something like Sonic 06), I was still inspired by it and it made me make up certain things for it to improve both its gameplay and story.
Also, the designs of its main girls are among my favorites of Tetsuya Nomura's catalog. I wished they were just a little bit more involved.
So thanks so much for watching this playthrough of mine. It took MUCH longer to upload than I ever wanted it too, but I did it!
