Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: Offline: Carls493 (Little Mac) vs. aceman (Greninja)
I finally pull out my own Little Mac to show not only Ace, but also you guys watching the video on how to use him efficiently.
As you know, Little Mac ain't no air fighter, which is why you must keep him on the ground and away from the ledge at all times. He's also one of the fastest characters of the game, but just because you have that speed, doesn't mean you should rely on it too much, especially when you're Little Mac.
When I play as Little Mac, I prefer to play him more slowly patiently by waiting for the opponent to leave himself open, then react accordingly with faster moves. Early on the opponent's stock, I like to build up his damage faster with a low-angled forward smash rather than the other two versions. Those who rely on air dodging a lot makes this easy for me to do after I send them into the air with either a down throw or a down tilt. The lag from landing with an air dodge can assess to that.
You should only use Mac's dash attack and Side B attack as guaranteed punishes, and that Jolt Maymaker's actual hit needs to be thrown out as early as possible as you fly at the opponent, too. Otherwise, you're likely setting yourself up for an easy ledge gimp.
--------------
Depending on the stage, you should adjust this strategy accordingly. Don't think this can only work on a flat stage like Final Destination or the Omega stages, where Little Mac is at his best. On a stage like Battlefield, you could likely surprise your opponents with Little Mac's Up B if they're standing above you on a platform.
If you have to absolutely use some kind of aerial attack, stick with his neutral air. Time it right, and you'll be surprised in how it can get in a foe's way despite having such pathetic power and range.
Besides, Fighting types are Super Effective against Dark types like Greninja!
