There's one strat for this mushroom that involves Final Form glide but otherwise all you need for this mushroom is a high damage output. I don't think it's possible to do it in one cycle but Donald's Comet finisher does a huge amount of damage when combined with a couple high strength Horizontal Slashes. If you're having trouble keeping track of the correct mushroom, you could either pause buffer or record the mushroom moving, pause then rewatch the recording.
