I couldn't be bothered getting any elixirs so I just through a bunch of ethers on Donald and Goofy since even with 2 item boosts, an ether will still leave you with a sliver of MP Recharge slowing you down a bit. The trinity finisher freezes the timer while still dealing hits to the mushroom so you can use fire and then break really quickly to get some hits in then deal the same amount of trinity hits in the finisher to get the 99 hits down quickly.
