Comparison of intro music for The Legend of Zelda.

The Famicom Disk System is a device that is placed under the Famicom (Japanese NES).
This device features an additional "FM" sound channel in addition to the "Square 1", "Square 2", "Triangle", "Noise" (sound for white noise) and "Delta PCM" sound channels of the Famicom / NES.

Some games like The Legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus, Metroid, Super Mario 2 / Lost Levels use this sound channel for some music.

When the games were exported out of Japan, since the FDS remained there, it was necessary to redo the music for the NES which does not have the channel "FM"
