MUSICIANS, let's talk shop about music collaborations!
I feel really weird about asking people to collaborate, because I feel like I have to do everything to make things as easy as possible for my collaborators. Do you expect for fellow musicians to do this before engaging in a musical collaboration?
I'm thinking of the following options:
1) The requester does everything. It's their arrangement; they come up with the sheets (or midi, or whatever), and the collaborator just plays along.
2) The requester has a concept, and ideas, but the collaborator may interpret as they wish.
3) The requester has an idea, but the collaborator and the requester co-arrange. Collaborators are fairly free to arrange the parts as they'd like.
