I try to figure out tanking in the new ESO patch - I end up grotesquely embarrassed by ESO's quest writers. 🙁 Well nuts. 🙁

The Update 29 patch notes mentioned two-handers boosting spell damage... 😏

Zenimax really got the gears turning by turning two-handed melee weapons into hybrid caster weapons. 🙂

- Two-handed swords have a spell damage boost in addition to the weapon damage boost.
- Two-handed axes have a crit boost that boosts critical damage and critical healing.
- ESO's answer to WoW's transmog system lets you set the appearance of any two-hander to another type of two-hander, so if you don't want a crit axe you can change it to look like a sword or mace, and the smaller two-handed maces look more like scepters. 🙂

The open-ended player-freedom-focused roots of Elder Scrolls are strongly represented in Update 29. 🙂
