I was way more hyped about making these vids before I got to actually play Shadow Mode :( The concept is great but I'm assuming the thought process was, that if they made it too much like a real player then fewer people would play online. At least it's free though, plus the game has the best training mode ever though so I guess I'll let them off with this one.

The Shadow mode AI employs auto guard, 1-frame reactions, random tagging, arbitrary and stupid Snap-back application and loads of other very 'CPU-esque' tactics. On the plus side, it's cool to play (in the case of Kadotty) a team that has phoenix as the final character and saves lvl3 x-factor for her.

They could still do great things with this in future. Even with AI tendencies, it would be sick to play against, for example, a Shadow mode version of Justin Wong. With his Team/combos/tactics. Even if it still did one frame stuff and had the CPU style 'block on/off' business (as opposed to having to hold the appropriate direction). It would still be a lot of fun and worth the download. Here's hoping that's the direction they take it in.
