When you use extended mags on any shotgun you get an 50% more pellets. This does not change the damage on the pellets so that means you get a potential 50% more damage if all of your extra pellets hit. Damage proficiency will give an additional 40% damage per shot. This means that if you combine the 1.4x damage with the potential 1.5x damage from the extra pellets, your shotgun might well do 210% extra damage. 1.4*1.5=2.1 Lastly if you are using the Specialist Strike Package and you hit 8 kills you will be granted extra proficiencies including Range. So with shotguns you can start with Damage and Extended Mags, then hit 8 kills and get Range as well. You will be set to rape face!

Also, since the Model 1887 cannot have any attachments, if you use both extended mags and damage on the Spas12, it will have better range and higher damage than the Model.
