With the New World Order's Kevin Nash as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, the nWo has taken control of all aspects of Monday Nitro including taking control of the WCW production truck, resulting in Nitro being broadcast in nWo black and white. It is also rumored that the nWo have an agent withing management as recent cards involve heavy nWo involvement.
LAST WEEK ON NITRO: WCW struck back against the nWo after Sting '99 and “The Total Package” Lex Luger defeated The Outsiders to become the NEW WCW World Tag Team Champions.
TONIGHT: The Outsiders receive their championship rematch as they get set to take on the new champions, Sting '99 and “The Total Package” Lex Luger!

INTERVIEW: Brian Pillman looks forward to competing against Bret Hart even though “The Hitman” sees Pillman as light work. He apologizes to Bret ahead of time because Bret is expecting enhancement talent and is in for a very rude awakening, and he's not talking about “Ravishing” Rick up there in New York.
FURTHERMORE: Pillman adds that he has still not heard from his tag team partner “Stunning Steve Austin after his handshake with the nWo's Scott Hall a few weeks ago. Pillman acknowledges the speculation that “Stunning” Steve may be repackaged as an nWo member after his dissatisfaction with his placement in the WCW undercard for the past several years. He asks Steve that if he's watching to please get a hold of Brian.
