My Sexual Assault Story | #MeToo
8Everyone goes through stuff they never wanted to experience, this is my story. I talk about an incident that happened to me as a sophomore in high school and a little bit of how it has affected me since. It won't ever leave me, but I can always learn to cope with it. No idea what triggered the memory at 1 am, but it finally prompted me to sit down in front of the camera and just let it out. It feels really good to let it off my chest, and quite honestly, it did not feel like 30 minutes went by as I talked. I had to end it at some point cause I felt like I could have gone on forever.
Things happen in life to make it seem difficult, please know things will get better even if you don't think it will. Suicide is not the answer. People do love you, even in your darkest of hours. Sexual Harassment and bullying in general is not easy to push through, but you can do it. I shared my sexual assault story to help others and know you can survive. It happens to men too, and don't be afraid to stand up for yourself or report it
