There's been a lot of changes since the last video. Here's the rough draft outline used for this video:

---Top question:
Can I get enough gold as a free character to buy a wow token for subscription?
-Simple answer: No.
Your gold is capped at 1K, your character is capped at level 20. You cannot get active subscription as a FTP.

-Complicated answer: You can farm up materials and junk that you could conceivably use by selling on the AH after you fill your bags and your bank...
...However, that's highly dependent on AH prices, and how many other people are farming materials. Additionally farming as a level 20 means you cannot fly to gather materials... so it's slower.
You would undoubtable make more gold as a max level character doing max level crafting professions.... All that being said. If you have time to burn, but no money to pay for a subscription... if you REALLLY want it, you might consider it. Most will not, Most should not. And blizzard has designed it like this on purpose.

In my opinion I consider WOW FTP as it's own separate entity... from regular retail World of Warcraft, it's being changed along with retail wow from patch to patch too!

---What can I do as a FTP wow character?

A "Veteran World of Warcraft Account" Is an account that has had a subscription before and slipped back into the unsubscribed status... It's referred to as a "Trial mode" so sometimes those messages will flash up... however some special exceptions are made,
like joining guilds your old characters are part of,
access to all your mounts, vanity pets, titles, and global achievements.

Level to 20 (Capped at 20)
Have 1,000 gold (Capped at 1 k)
Speak in /party /Say and /guild chats...
however you can't speak in channels, and only Veteran accounts apparently have access to Real ID chat.
Veteran accounts can Access content from:
Burning Crusades,
Wrath of the Lich King,
Cataclysm,
Mists of Pandaria,
Burning Legion,
Battle of Azeroth
Que for Battlegrounds
Que for Dungeons


~~I can't do:
CAN'T Use your mailbox
CAN'T Join a new guild
CAN'T Access your old guild bank (if you were already in a guild)
CAN'T do Pet Battles (either capturing wild pets or queing for pet battles)

---The tale of "Atratzu and how he leveled over 20 on a free play weekend and put in a ticket to bring character back to level 20 and can't que for battle grounds because the character has been permanently cursed because of being touched by the blizzard GM gods" ...It's a work-in-progress-title.

Stopping exp for Horde and Alliance characters
- 10g is the price.
- Horde: Slahtz (An undead rogue NPC) in the Hall of the Brave, Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar.
- Alliance: Behsten (A Human rogue NPC) in the Warm Room in Stormwind.


Do remember: World of Warcraft is always changing, patching, and updating.
Since my last video, my Hunter lost 60% of his move set... then regained it plus tax years after that.
At one time I could tame exotic beasts... now the only evidence I have for that is my stable.
I used to be able to solo dungeons, but level scaling had made it impractical for me.
