0All the tools I write are little apps that tend to solve certain issues that a business usually has. My Smiling Troll Distillery "intranet" has been given the ability to login via the users Active Directory credentials. This introduces the simplicity of needing to remember one password and ease of adding new people to the business by just adding them to the appropriate groups in the Active Directory. Just makes the entire process nice and simple!
I use Zentyal in this demo but it will work just fine with any production AD.
