Mystic Quest Remastered | Part 11 | From Where the Wind Blows

Kaidge Temple -- Battefields No.16/17 -- Windia -- Windhole Temple -- Mount Gale
============================================================

After the Giant Tree takes me across the Alive Forest, I pop into the Kaidge Temple for... well, not alot of anything really. Not yet at least.

I finally make it to Windia, where I learn from Dr. Otto that his daughter Norma is stuck at the tower up north, but can't get to her because his road-making machine is down from strong winds coming from the nearby Mount Gale. So, I'm off to go and investigate.

Climbing to the top, I find the culprit, the Dullahan, who tells me that the REAL culprit is Pazuzu, and that he's located in that tower up North.

With the winds died down, Dr. Otto fires up his road-making machine again, and I head over to Pazuzu's Tower to search for Norma.

Mystic Quest Remastered

♦ A recreation of Final Fantasy Mystic Quest which aims to take you on the same epic journey ♦
Mystic Quest Remastered is today's adaptation of the classic Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest title which was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was rebuilt from the ground up and does its best to keep as much as the original as possible, while also providing a set of new and welcome changes.

♦ A true recreation of the classic RPG experience ♦
Right off the bat, from the looping theme song to the graphics, Mystic Quest Remastered takes you back 20 years when things were much simpler in terms of visuals and gameplay but still plenty of fun.

It relies on good looking pixel art, exploring revisits the top-down bird’s eye view, and interaction and movement are done using a handful of keys. The combat system is pretty much the same, with the exception that in Mystic Quest Remastered you can have up to four characters fighting together and the HUD layout is somewhat different.

♦ Equip your heroes with the items you want and fight the evil that lurks all around ♦
Just like in the original, monster random encounters no longer exist and are replaced with stationary minions. Fighting them is easy but defeating them, well that’s a different story. In Mystic Quest Remastered you still rely on a good battle plan and the proper time to engage because some monsters are simply too tough to beat at a low level.

Fortunately, your characters can be equipped with the items you pick up along the way. Potions and spells still play a huge role in the game and using them can completely turn around the outcome of a battle.

♦ Relive your childhood game in a new way or try a solid recreation of a true RPG ♦
On a closing note, you have to play Mystic Quest Remastered to really appreciate it. Of course, for the true Final Fantasy fans some things might not entirely please but looking at the bigger picture, it’s an honest overhaul of a classic.

~~ OK, so he started up the project again. He switched from using RPG Maker VX, so he basically had to start from scratch. All new remaster from what I've uploaded~~
