NAM-1975 - Arcade (1990)
2Dang...this intro gets dark really quick. It's so weird to have a game that goes "war is hell and traumatic af" to "now go play this game that glamorizes war." It's jarring.
The game itself is very good, but I wasn't used to it just yet. It does take some visual training to see all of what you need to shoot out on the field while trying to keep yourself dodgerolling enemy fire. I did say I was a Cabal fan, so this was a pleasant surprise to me that it got it mostly right but with it's own stylish twist. I wasn't expecting to rescue babes mid-game who would then join me in the shootout.
There's also a lot of polish that you don't see often in these games, especially with the voice work. This seems like a custom made game for a CD port or expanded version on other consoles.
