Necromancer is a specialty wizard in D&D that focuses on the necromancy school of magic. Historically they have focused on the forces of death and undeath. They've found their way into novels, video games like world of warcraft, Skyrim, Shadow of Mordor, and many other uses necromancers as well. For some reason these characters who are traditionally vilains have found their way into our imaginations and every other player once to make a necromancer character build whether we are talking video games or tabletop RPG games.
