This is my World Record Run of Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit in Lost Canyons (Forward) for both the best lap category and the total 2 lap time category as well for Simulation Mode. The rules for this category are pretty straightforward as its basically do your best run in a particular track however since i am using a emulator, i have to keep the FPS display on as per their request. Lost Canyons is very similar to its beginner counterpart Redrock Ridge in the sense its a very fast track but this one is way more technical once you reach the Expert part of the track as you will have to deal with winding corners, fast downhill corners that even with maximum downforce and full stiff suspension may make the car want to slide, a zigzag style corner and of course the canyon section. The Canyon section is where a proper racing line will either make or break the run as the numerous elevation changes and forced off-road sections makes that section very tricky. Despite still being a fast paced track, top speeds wont be as high as other high speed tracks so the Gear Ratio was adjusted for more acceleration. You might be thinking that since you are forced into off-road situations on the Canyon that the Stock Tires would actually be better than Race tires on this track but in my test/practice runs even the worst runs with Race tires were faster than Stock. This is because the grip difference while on road is substantial enough that it fails to compensate on the Canyon section so Race tires were always preferred as Race tires will be better for the overall track.
