If you're feeling speed withdrawl since the last Fast and Furious movie, get ready to buckle up again. EA is bringing its game Need for Speed to the big screen. Stay right here, ClevverMovies has the scoop.

Variety reports that Electronic Arts is working on creating its own "Fast and Furious" franchise with a Need for Speed adaptation. Real Steel scribe John Gatins has been hired to develop a pitch to studios with his sibling scribe George Gatins working on the screenplay. Electronic Arts and Gatins will produce with Paramount as the frontrunner to pick up the film.

There is no word yet on whether or not the film will include aspects from each game in the series or if it will focus on one game in particular. Need for Speed: The Run was released in November and included Drive beauty Christina Hendricks and Sean Faris, but no word whether or not they'll be brought into the film.

Director Michael Bay directed a trailer for Need for Speed: The Run, but we're assuming he'll be a little too busy with Transformers 4 to helm the film version of the game

You can be sure though that the most successful video game franchise will certainly give the Fast and Furious franchise a run for its money. How do all of you feel about this? Which Need for Speed game would you most like to see on the big screen? Sound off in the comments below. I'm Tatiana Carrier for ClevverMovies. Thanks so much for watching.
