Pursuit Assist let you reset the police car in front of the 1st speeder's cars. it make pursuit much easier but more boring.
without the assist, you police car stay at the original position when you reset it. it make continue pursuit much harder.
so you can act like a AI cop go for the opposite direction and patrol, use some more intresting strategy.
