Need for Speed: Most Wanted released in 2005 and was made by EA Black Box - creators of the previous Underground games and the Skate series. An impressive resume!

I guess I'm just being nostalgic on thinking back when games used to inspire and were just plain awesome. But the original Need for Speed Most Wanted does provide a reasonable case for why it is just so good. Please do tell me what other Need for Speed games you enjoyed the most.

"Asking Why" is a series about investigating underlying reasons behind certain video game observations. This may be about specific game mechanics, games in general, or behavioral patterns within the medium itself. Please let me know your thoughts. I would really love to hear them.
