Need For Speed: Shift (2009) on HD 4400 (Intel integrated graphics) i3 4th gen
This installment of the NFS franchise brings you off the street and into the world of legitimate racing. It maintains a fair amount of arcade gameplay by default with the option to go more simulation. With a 30 FPS cap gameplay was smooth, latency was nice and low and the graphics the HD 4400 was able to offer up were better than expected. NFS Shift is a solid choice for this iGPU.
PC: Dell Inspiron 3647
CPU: i3 4150 3.5GHz (2-core 4-thread)
GPU: Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics (system-shared memory)
RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1600MHz
SSD: 240 GB Kingston
OS: Windows 10 Pro
This Dell Inspiron 3647 is a small form factor (SFF) PC with built in wifi, bluetooth, card reader and DVD drive. The one thing it is missing is extra motherboard and power connections for an additional storage drive but the speedy USB 3 ports and internal SSD make using external drives painless. It has room for a single-slot low-powered graphics card (pci-e gen 3) but even the stock HD 4400 does not keep it from being an excellent daily driver in 2025.
Thanks for watching!
