NEO: The World Ends With You Is a Modern Hidden Gem
Tetsuya Nomura and the Kingdom Hearts team worked with developer Jupiter to create one of the most innovative and well-received action RPGs on the Nintendo DS platform in 2007 in Japan and 2008 worldwide. That game was known as Subarashiku Kono Sekai or It's a Wonderful World in Japan. But in the west this game was called The World Ends With You.
Fourteen years later, the game's successor NEO: The World Ends With You was released to much less fanfare. In this video I talk about NEO: The World Ends With You and why I think the game is a modern hidden gem that deserves more attention than it got.
