I apologise for my bad driving in this game, you can do this game with the strategy without failing.
After the 1st race buy car 3 and then save.
By race ~7/8 you should have enough money to buy the last car.
Now just upgrade that car equally and you should finish the game with ease.
General tips are to use your nitros and take corners early, hitting cars does slow you down so be careful when trying to get your nitros up.
