Just upgrade the furthest mineral you can reach to max and focus on digger and fuel upgrades.
Once you can make 3500+ metres start using radar so you can get ruby/ sapphires/ truffles. Upgrade these to max also.
You need to get the first of the last radar upgrades plus about max of the 4th digger and fuel tank so you can get the wandering truffle, then just dig down.
Also might want to upgrade battery frequency as well.
