I played Neophyte as part of Global Game Club's weekly indiegame: https://glub.co/

It feels a bit like Binding of Isaac, but lacks story and the variety is very limited. Each area feels pretty identical to the last, and I didn't enjoy the boss battles at all. The boss battles are a boss + an endless stream of enemies, which is quite frustrating due to how they're essentially shields to the boss. The graphics look good, and the sound is fine. The price is also quite low, so I'm sure this game is going to appeal to many. For me I found the gameplay loop to become redundant very quickly.
