NES CHALLENGE - Mighty Final Fight in 46:42 [173/714]
Another amazing Capcom title. There is much fun and replayability to be had. The mechanics are smooth, though I felt on occasion inputs were being eaten. This may be caused by miss timing or conflict with another move - like a cool down period of some kind. There are quite a few cheap hits scattered through the later stages, but the game is honestly fair as it gives many heath refills. Overall this game is pure joy.
As I said take Cody your first few times around, well balanced but not in the mid grade way but as the right amount of power and speed to get you though. Guy is very fast but his damage is weak. I think this may actually be helpful on a few bosses, but I've only played him a few times. Haggar is the friggin man though. His move set is just pure enjoyment. Piledriving enemies on other enemies and moving across the screen in the air with them is pure joy. He is slow as hell though and I'm not sure I'd have the skill to get through the game with him now - I'd really have to derust.
The game currently runs at $275 so if you can, just get a repro or use an emulator. It's a fun, but not that much fun when cheaper options are available - since you aren't helping the developers all you are doing is paying a premium to people who have hoarded the copies. Right now there are 14 loose copies, with another 10 boxed and, several graded so it is artificially being held up in price as the auctions go near the BIN price so people feel they are getting a deal. You make those all auctions and the price suddenly drops and the market establishes the real price.
