Netflix cancels Maldita, the series set in the Universe of King Arthur and that only has one season
Netflix has announced the cancellation of the series Cursed, which is set in the King Arthur universe and has only one season
Netflix's scythe has claimed another victim: The company has canceled another series. As reported by Deadline, the cancelled series has been Cursed after airing only one season. The cast has been released from their contracts, offering definitive proof that the project is dead and buried.
Cursed is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler. Based on the legend of King Arthur, the series followed Nimue, a young woman destined to become the Lady of the Lake. The series starred actress Katherine Langford, 13 Reasons Why. Both Wheeler and Miller co-producers of the series, while Wheeler also served as showrunner.

Maldita premiered its first (and only) season on July 17, 2020, nearly a year ago. Although the series was ranked number one in Netflix's Top 10 section,it doesn't seem to attract enough attention for the company to be motivated to make a second season. So, Maldita adds to the long list of Netflix stories that we'll never see conclude.
This cancellation comes a month after Netflix canceled its superhero series Jupiter's Legacy, an adaptation of the comic book series of the same name by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, after only one season:
"I'm really proud of what the team has accomplished with Jupiter's Legacy and the incredible work everyone did in that first season,"Mark Millar, head of Jupiter's Legacy, wrote on Twitter. "We've made the tough decision to let go of our incredible cast of Jupiter's Legacy."
