Netflix has revealed the names of the episodes of the second season of the series The Witcher, which could give us some clues about the story
The WitcherCon left us a fair amount of information about The Witcher universe. During the event, Netflix revealed the titles of seven of the eight episodes that the second season will have. The name of the last chapter has not been revealed for obvious reasons: not to make spoilers. Although no plot details have been revealed, the titles could offer clues as to geralt and ciri's course..
Each episode of The Witcher opens with its title and a symbol, as we've seen throughout the first season. These symbols served as a representation of the important theme of that chapter. That way fans would know what that symbol means when watching it during the series in the future. Well, titles and symbols of the second season were unveiled during the WitcherCon... but only 7/8 titles were revealed:
A Grain of Truth
Kaer Morhen
What Is Lost
Redanian Intelligence
Turn Your Back
Dear Friend
Voleth Meir
[Top Secret]
We can speculate on some of the titles, considering what we already know about the second season of The Witcher. The season will follow Geralt and Ciri's relationship. The sorcerer will have to learn to live with a scared little girl, he will have to protect her and teach her to protect herself. Together they will go to Kaer Morhen and meet Geralt's mentor, Vesemir. This could be (roughly speaking) the plot of the second season.
Certainly not all episodes are as clear as the second (Kaer Morhen), in fact the rest are more imprecise and could take different paths. The penultimate episode of the season references a key character that The Witcher's creative team had previously announced. The title of the last episode remains a secret. Despite knowing the names of the episodes, we still don't know anything new for sure about the second season..
What we do know is that the second season of The Witcher will premiere on December 17. In addition, before that we'll have vesemir's animated film and the next-generation version of the video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which will feature free DLCs related to the Netflix series.
