Netflix’s Value Has Officially Topped Disney
648Netflix is in the news again but this time for more reasons than just making movies and streaming tv shows. According to Variety, Netflix’s stock climbed to record highs that pushed the streaming service market capitalization past Disney for the first time. Disney’s stock went down 1.1% in midday trading, to $101.74 per share, yielding a market cap of close to $152 billion. Then on Wednesday, Netflix’s market cap passed even Comcast, the cable giant that’s now trying to make a bid for Fox over Disney. This rings the bell for the streaming giant and Collider News is here to break down what it could mean for the future, not only for the service, but for the movie and television landscape that includes Disney and other major studios.
