One of Hollywood's greatest writers and directors, Billy Wilder was a young journalist who fled Berlin when the Nazis rose to power, and made his way from Paris to New York. Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Jack Lemmon, and Barbara Stanwyck were among his stars. With wide-ranging interviews and archival footage, this documentary offers insight into a cinematic genius whose immigrant experience shaped the images he created on screen.
