- Notes -
Neverland is a breath of fresh air to make - it actually has many different themes. This is thanks to the world areas being split up so much between games, a bit like Olympus but with less games and more themes.

There's the Pirate Ship themes. For "Captain Hook's Pirate Ship" once again ReCoM tweaking the track in subtle but noticable ways. The pizzicato plucking is less frequent for instance. In KH1 it sounds like a clock ticking. Then the combat music "Pirate's Gigue". A gigue is " a lively dance movement (as of a suite) having compound triple rhythm and composed in fugal style" but I'm not music nerd enough to understand that. It's a good jaunty pirate battle track but with a bit more seriousness than something like To Our Surprise or Monstrous Monstro.

My favourite Neverland theme is the clocktower "Never Land Sky", a case of world name being split up. It's a perfect song for carefree flying around the Elizabeth Tower/Big Ben. I feel like the remix lost some of the punch of the track though. It's much softer.

Onto 358/2 Days, we have new themes for the Neverland Islands proper. I'm not too familair with these as I've "never" played Days, but I like them. "Secret of Neverland" feels tonally in line with the KH1 field theme - it's a bit more opressive/heavier feeling than what's in BBS.

Crossing to Neverland honestly feels like it could fit in DDD, it reminds me of the Prankster's Paradise and Musketeers battle themes. From 10:40 on is my favourite. Actually I'd even say this song would fit well as BBS Neverland's combat theme, it matches nicely with Daydream Upon Neverland.

Important to note here that unlike the other Days Disney worlds I've featured thus far, this time there are separate game and soundtrack versions. These songs are new to Days, so they got the soundtrack treatment, wheras the likes of Agrabah and Halloween Town only have the game versions.

Finally we have BBS' more lighthearted themes "Daydream Upon Neverland" and "Neverland's Scherzo". This is probably my favourite Disney world in BBS, it feels pretty fleshed out and the songs are nice. Also, we have a gigue and now a scherzo which we've seen before with Hollow Bastion. "a movement or passage of light or playful character" apparently. Well, this is definitely lighter than Scherzo di Notte but I guess that's why it's "di Notte" for the castle. Anyway, I'm rambling. I really like that we get all these distinct themes for this world, but I'm always sad that Never Land Sky was left out of Melody of Memory. Too short a loop, I suppose.
