The 2023 model of the Mitsubishi compact SUV offers a blend of bold styling and practical functionality. Under the hood, it boasts a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, delivering 152 horsepower. This powertrain is coupled with a continuously variable automatic transmission, and the vehicle benefits from a standard all-wheel-drive system. The engine provides smooth power delivery, but the acceleration is not particularly fast. The ride is generally composed and quiet, with the suspension tuned for comfort, although handling lacks athleticism.

The model year 2023 introduces several new features, including standard all-wheel drive across all trims, a new 18-inch wheel design, and standard LED head and fog lights. The top SEL trim now comes with body-colored lower trim, while SE models feature silver-colored front bumper embellishments.

When it comes to choosing a model, the SE trim offers a balanced combination of value and features. It includes keyless remote entry with pushbutton start, driver-assistance features, and dual-zone automatic climate control, among other amenities.

Fuel economy is fairly standard, with the base ES model achieving EPA ratings of 26 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined. The performance of the vehicle in this regard largely depends on driving habits.

Inside, the vehicle provides a comfortable and functional environment. The seats are durable and stylish, and there's ample cargo space for a small family. However, lumbar support is lacking, which might cause discomfort during long drives. The infotainment system includes a touchscreen display, with the size varying depending on the trim. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and in-dash navigation are available with the 8 inch display.

The vehicle comes with basic driver-assistance technologies as standard, including automated emergency braking and lane-departure warning. Advanced features like adaptive cruise control are available on upper trims.

Mitsubishi offers a generous warranty package, including a limited warranty that covers five years or 60,000 miles, and a powertrain warranty that covers 10 years or 100,000 miles. However, complimentary scheduled maintenance is not included.
