Everyone always loves when I talk about the 3DO M2, the retro gaming cancelled successor to the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer....and considering its the day after Thanksgiving it's time to give back! With almost 10GB of never before seen / released 3DO M2 software...and don't worry, this is just the start :) Retro games post Thanksgiving gift incoming! I really with the 3DO M2 had survived to take on the N64 and Dreamcast! Video game history that never happened :)

You can find the new files on Archive dot Org. Search for my name there (sorry best way to do it)

Everyone knows the 3DO video game console...but not everyone knows about the cancelled 3DO M2! I have been doing my best to bring this rare and obscure retro gaming platform to everyone...and today I have something extra special...the Panasonic FZ-35 Interactive Kiosk...also known as the finished 3DO M2 video game console from Panasonic that was cancelled RIGHT BEFORE RELEASE! and we have some new software to dump and share with everyone! and a few shots of Panasonic FZ-21 3DO M2 console for good measure!

Patreon Thanks: Seth Peterson, John Thompson, Paul Daniel, Porch, Jon Anderson, RayceARoni, Kuranghu, Jason Hixon, Alex Tessler, Jonathan Leung, Martin Donlon, Tom Van Deusen, barabob, Steve Randall, Ahab, K-2, Renaissance 2K, Ivar Wennerhold, Adrien Sebbane,
Mike Puelinckx, Tony Escobar, H7, Ben Parfitt, Holger Schmidt, Tim Lehner, Shad Uttam, Dan L, Coupon Joe, Sunder Raj, Dorfus the Maple Syrup Man, John Booty, Richard S, Eric Gutt and Robert Alger!

People on the internet will tell you that the Panasonic FZ-35 is a prototype 3DO M2 console...and that would be wrong. It's actually a product Panasonic / Matsushita sold at retail as an interactive kiosk unit ala the Philips CD-I. Unlike the CD-I...this actually has games you would want to play...because this is just the 3DO M2 console in it's final hardware iteration...except not released as a games console! But that won't stop it from playing SOME games today...and hopefully a LOT more in the future!

Gaming is filled with obscure hardware but it does NOT get any more obscure than this! (ok MAYBE SNES CD) and any time I can release new software for people to enjoy from both a video game development, video game history and video game preservation standpoint I want to share it with all of you!

It would have been amazing to see M2 take on PS1, Nintendo 64 and even Dreamcast. But the gaming console landscape is littered with hardware that never materialized!

But it did become an arcade board from Konami with Battle Tryst, Heat of Eleven 98, Total Vice, Evil Night and my fav game on the platform...Tobe! Polystars!
