FINALLY! This world took forever because of 4-4, Croctopus Chase, which is the reason why I have given up on this run several times in the past. This time I got Alyosha from TASVideos to TAS the level for me, as the needed way of TASing the level fit him a lot better. So all Kredits for that level goes to him!!
Explanation: First off you need to activate the Split Up Glitch. The method I used was to enter a finished level, throw a DK barrel, start + select, reenter and die in midair. Now, the next time you'll break a DK barrel, you'll control both Kongs at once. Do that and have the inactive character, now Donkey, die, while Diddy is on Expresso. The next time you enter a level which has an animal buddy in it (Not Torchlight Trouble though...) you'll ride Expresso instead.
Running around with Expresso in a water level is a huge timesaver and you are able to clip into parts of the walls. But there's a catch: Because you are traveling so fast, and that the camera only follows the "intended path" in the level, it can't keep up. Meaning that you'll have to play the level blind. Though there's yet another catch: The level can't be completed until the Exit is loaded, which it only does when the camera is close. The camera often gets stuck in the level, if you take too many shortcuts. It's therefore neccesary to pass a couple of "checkpoints" to make sure the camera is following you. There are many factors which makes this level both hard to do and hard to optimise. I'm satisfied with Alyosha did, so I'm sticking to it for now.
