Normally, the Split Up glitch is done by entering a finished stage, throw a DK barrel and use Start + Select to exit the stage. But if you land on an enemy, with the DK barrel, next to a ledge, the DK barrel can roll on the ground, something not normally possible.

The problem previously was that it was not possible to re-grab the barrel this way. Though I combined it with a Barrel Boost to get enough speed. This way you can catch the barrel, put it down and you have the first part of the Split Up glitch ready to go!
