New map, New Weapons Battlefield 5
2,695Just an update to those of you who haven't played BF5 in a while there is a new map, new weapons and new gadgets available ( I mean if we count rocket launchers as gadgets ).
For the record I don't think the Lunge Mine should be in BF5. I mean my stance on the still buggy nature of the bayonet charge mechanic carried over from BF1 is an obvious reason but really this gadget reminds me too much of all the remote control troll gadgets in BF4 that didn't really add to BF3's or BF4's core gameplay. They just end up being tools to troll and ruin what normal Battlefield gameplay usually was when you throw in things like the SUAV, RAWR and XD-1 Accipiter.
However, BF5 can't be fixed because it would require more developer time and resources that are unavailable as well as an engine that supports other AA options outside of TAA ( seriously they can't because of the version of the Frostbite engine they used for BF5 ). So if it can't really get any worse ( BF1 already exists ) then F it I guess, throw in some wire guided dynamite pigeons.
