If you use SP to learn a bunch of skills with a character, and then merge them into a unit who hasn't learned those skills, the character they're merged into will have all of those skills learned without spending the SP. You can use this to potentially complete a skillset at low levels, like I demonstrate here.
I show that my 5* Camilla lacks a lot of skills, so I merge my 4* Camilla who has Draconic Aura, Reposition, Darting Blow 3, Brash Assault 2, and Savage Blow 3 into her. Doing this, my 5* Camilla can now simply equip those skills, and she can either build SP until lv40 or never worry about grinding past lv40.
