New Pokémon Snap Playthrough 16: Down to Size
0New Pokémon Snap has received an update, which added three new areas into the game, and around 20 new Pokémon. In this video, I go back to Florio Nature Park in the daytime, as there is a secret to the area where the NEO-ONE shrinks down in size, and I can get some new behaviours of Pokémon that are already in the game.

An update for New Pokémon Snap is live, and some new areas were added, and the first one accessed is Secret Side Path, which was suggested by Phil, and it is to test out a new function for the NEO-ONE where it shrinks down in size, what you have to do is access Florio Nature Park, and at around where the Bidoof's dam is, take the hidden path to access the side path.
Phil will be the one telling us about the area, as Professor Mirror is not aware of the secret yet. Secret Side Path is where the NEO-ONE is smaller than the Pokémon in the area, so you can find Wurmple, Pichu, Scorbunny, Dodrio, Comfey, Shroomish, Vivillon, Bidoof, Torterra, Pidgeot, Taillow, Emolga, and Sylveon. Shroomish is a new Pokémon that was included in the update, it was shown in a trailer before the release of this game, and the scene with the Torterra and Dodrio was in the first trailer.
As for good photos, you can light up a Crystabloom where the Shroomish are to get some good photos of them, and if you play the Melody, you can get a 4 star photo for Shroomish, which you will need for the quest Dancing Trio. When you play the Melody when going through the log and then throw an Illumina Orb at the Meadow Pattern Vivillon sitting on Torterra, a Garden Pattern Vivillon will appear, and this is a 2 star photo. Then the fight between Dodrio and the Torterra is a good photo opportunity, and you can get some good photos of Pichu and Scorbunny as well, and at the end of the course when the NEO-ONE returns to normal size, you can wake up the Sylveon sleeping by a Torterra by throwing an Illumina Orb at it, and you can get some good photos of Sylveon through that.
After showing Professor Mirror the photos, it turns out the shrink function was still in testing, and that it cannot be used for all of Lental's islands, it can only be used on Florio Island, and you can go straight to the Side Path again without having to access Florio Nature Park.
Then to access Secret Side Path again, and this time take a secret path, when the first Dodrio shows up, scan to reveal a secret path, and you can find some Comfey in that area, and you can find Snorlax in that path, this is another Pokémon added in the update. You can interact with Snorlax by throwing Fluffruit into its open mouth, and then throw an Illumina Orb and play the Melody to wake it up, the Snorlax is found in the Flower Fields at the end, and if you throw an Illumina Orb at it, it will run towards you for a 4 star photo, and this is for the LenTalk quest Snorlax Dash.
As you have to access Florio Nature Park at Level 3 to first access Secret Side Path, I might as well go over it, the new encounters are Scorbunny, Pidgeot, Heracross, and Shaymin, and a new path will be unlocked as the Bidoof will have finished building the dam.
I could go over the LenTalk quests done in this video, the first one is Head-to-Head Competition, if you play the Melody, the Bouffalant will headbutt each other. Next is Swanna-be, where you have to take a photo of a flying Ducklett, which is easy at Level 3. Flopping By Water is done by throwing a Fluffruit at Pidgeot, then when you get to Magikarp, throw Fluffruit, and Pidgeot will swoop down and snatch Magikarp, and the focus Pokémon has to be Magikarp for that to count. Then there is Hide-and-Seek in the Flowers, where you have to throw an Illumina Orb to reveal Pichu hiding in the flowers, and following that is Three Friends among Flowers, where you have to take a photo of Scorbunny laughing, this is done after revealing Pichu in the flowers, and when Scorbunny, Pichu, and Grookey are gathered around the Crystabloom.
