We are now in Part 2 of the story, so this is the Silver Snow route, which is the official name for the Church route. Byleth wakes up to find that five years have passed since the Battle at Garreg Mach. He meets up with Edelgard at the Goddess Tower, which leads to a duel between the two, and then he reunites with Seteth at the Cathedral, and they work together to drive off a group of thieves that have invaded the Monastery, and hopefully reunite with the Black Eagles students.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Five years have passed, and Byleth wakes up to find that the Monastery has been abandoned since, and that the millennium festival would have been celebrated had that war not started. At least Sothis's voice is heard before Byleth's awakening, and this is the War Phase for the default Black Eagles route, or Silver Snow as it is called, Church Route is just a name most players call it.
Byleth then meets up with Edelgard, and we get a cutscene where they have a duel with their swords, then he meets Seteth at the Cathedral, and they find that the Monstery in infested with thieves, so they have to drive them out.
Time for what fans consider the most hated chapter in the game, and this is the only time in Silver Snow where Seteth is forced to be deployed on, and unlike the house leaders, Seteth does not have a unique class, you should have him as a Wyvern Rider for this, and if you have Byleth as Enlightened One, he can heal Seteth if he has taken any damage against the thieves.
The thieves on this map drop a bunch of items when defeated, like Concoctions, Door Keys, Antitoxins, Bullions, Shields, and some drop weapons, like the Silver Sword, Blessed Bow, and Silver Bow.
Player reinforcements will spawn on turn 3, Caspar and Dorothea will spawn on the northwest, while only Petra will spawn on the southwest, I guess Hubert stole our extra unit slot from us when he left our group. If you have Petra as a Wyvern Rider, she can make good work out of the thieves with her high Speed to avoid attacks, as for Dorothea and Caspar, I would mainly have Caspar at the front lines as you slowly make your way through the thieves.
When you reach column 9, Bernadetta, Ferdinand, and Linhardt appear from the northeast part of the map, and you can get dialogue from each of them if you have Byleth talk to them.
There are four chests on this map, but you can only get three Chest Keys on this map, unless you buy a Chest Key before the Chapter 12 battle. The chests contain an Armorslayer, Silver Lance, Cursed Ashiya Sword, and Axe of Ukonvasara. I will go over the two rare weapons, the Cursed Ashiya Sword requires B Rank in Sword, and while it has a high crit rate, the user takes 5 damage when they initiate combat, and the Axe of Ukonvasara is a Sacred Weapon that is tied to the Crest of Gloucester, and it deals bonus damage against Armored units, and unit restores HP at the beginning of the unit's phase.
The boss of this map is Pallardó, he appears in a paralogue for a DLC unit, his Battalion can use Poison Tactic, and some of the thieves on this map have Venin weapons that inflict poison. He is very easy, while he does have high Speed, we have fought much harder opponents than this guy. When you defeat him, it turns out to be a decoy, and the real Pallardó will escape, he has a Speed Ring, and he does have some extra skills, like Pass, Avo +10, Vantage, and Strength +2, and he has higher Attack and Speed than the decoy, but he shouldn't be too difficult. The bandit reinforcements can have an Evasion Ring and Bullion when defeated.
With the thieves driven out, the Black Eagles students are reunited with Byleth, except for Edelgard and Hubert. Then Seteth explains about everything that has happened since the Battle at Garreg Mach, like what had happened to the Kingdom and the fate of Dimitri, as well as Cornelia taking control of the Kingdom capital. We then learn about Claude and Lorenz, and what they are up to, as well as what has happened now that the Empire has taken over many areas across Fódlan. Then Seteth and Byleth meet up with Flayn at the Holy Mausoleum, and Seteth arranges for a search for Rhea, who had gone missing since the Battle at Garreg Mach.
