Firstly I would like to go over a few things on the witcher 3. The first being a new DLC for The Witcher 3 that will be the games final installment before the new game which we will go over in a moment.
The DLC is something I imagine a lot of people were surprised to see with the game being almost 7 years old and then on top of that, having it be such a long period of time since the last DLC came out, which was Blood and Wine, along side Hearts of Stone, both of which contained almost 100 hours of new content. The new expansion is very unlikely to contain that amount of content for us.
The new DLC for The Witcher 3 is supposedly being described by the Netflix Show and the teaser suggests that the DLC will be mostly cosmetic enhancements, but also include some smaller quests and weapons.
And before we move on as always if your new to the channel dont forget to subscribe and leaving a like is always appreciated if you enjoy.
Next is an article from Push Square that actually breaks the new withcer game down very well, but the main portion I want to read and share states the following.
The Polish developer states that this new game will be the beginning of "a new saga" in the Witcher franchise. This reiterates what we already know, with Geralt's story coming to an end in the aforementioned The Witcher 3.
This new Witcher title is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 in a "strategic partnership" with Epic Games. Interesting stuff, since CDPR's previous games — including the recent Cyberpunk 2077 — have utilised the studio's own in-house REDengine.
The artwork at the top of this article shows a Witcher's medallion partially buried in snow — and that's all we have to go on right now. There's no mention of a release window or platforms, but it's fair to assume that this new Witcher game is aiming for current-gen consoles and PC.
and thats the end of the Push Square article. Keep in mind that Cyberpunk 2077 is still being worked on, so when they plan on ending that and focusing on the new witcher game is probably a ways off, but could also be fairly soon. I say that due to the game not doing so hot at the moment and lots of people being a bit frustrated with how the game released and not wanting to support the game because of that, so DLC and new expansions for that game may be out of the picture.
Lastly is the Next Gen Patch updating the graphics in the game. Really that is all I need to say about this one, its just an enhanced version of the game that looks fairly similar to PC.
The Witcher is an amazing game so its nice to see a new title coming for it. I dont think anyone that has played the game could say it was bad. My only complaint is that its a rediculously long video game, which is great for the typical person watching this that loves games, but for me as a person working non stop and not having that kind of time it isnt the best. However with that said, the game does an amazing job at not forcing you to need to play for long periods of time.
Its also nice to see a graphics update for the next gen systems, enhanced visuals always make games more enjoyable, even if some people say that graphics dont matter, to a certain extent they do and why games get remakes, remasters and next gen consoles are released.
If graphics didnt matter at all, we would still be playing PS1 and Super Nintendo games, but with faster NVme drives to simply load our games faster, so graphics do matter, but of course how good a game is matters a hell of a lot more.
