First up is Grand Theft Auto 5's next generation upgrade being 1 huge disgusting cash grab.
I completely understand that creating a new game, especially in 2022 with game prices still being so low that companies need to add other options in games like microtransactions and DLC to make up for the cost of creating the game, but Rockstar has already done this, the game clearly has DLC & ways for Rockstar to make money in the game already.
Either way thats besides the point, to charge people that already own GTA 5 to upgrade to the next gen version is messed up, even if its launching at a 75% discount on Playstation and a 50% discount on Xbox.
Quite frankly releasing the game at a discount is even more of a slap in the face to me because of course people are more likely to pay for it when its discounted, when it should just be free.
Anyways I am talking about this the way I am because Rockstar is a massive company, Grand Theft Auto is an extremely popular game, so this happening to this game after it being re-released multiple times and already gotten a remaster of a fricken remaster is not something I want to see other companies follow & why I recommend you stay away from the next gen upgrade.

Next up is WWE 2k22, I am not the biggest fan of fighting games, the only one I like is Mortal Kombat and thats just ebcause of the messed up finishing moves in the game, but WWE 2k22 is being fairly well recieved minus the really awkward line up of characters and the amount of DLC the game has.
There is going to be 5 content packs and will include a total of 28 new characters to the roster and be available for individual purchase as well, along side being offered in the season pass, deluxe edition, or nWo-4-life digital editon of the game. So there is a lot of microtransactions, but also lots of ways to get the characters, so you dont have to pay for them.--

Next up is a free upgrade for people on the PS5. That upgrade is for Dying light 2. Call me stupid for not knowing this, but I had no idea that the game wasnt already a PS5 version, my brother in law has this game on his PS5 and Ive played the game at his house and thought it looked amazing. It definately isnt as good looking as the Dying Light 2 the new game, but still I thought the original had gotten a PS5 Upgrade already playing it. Either way there is now a 4k 30fps mode and a Balanced mode for 60fps in QHD.

Next up is kind of related to the Dying Light Upgrade on the PS5 & that being the 1440p Variable Refresh Rate option on the Playstation 5, there have been lots of people asking about this wondering when the console will officially support it. Dying Lights PS5 Upgrade, The next gen version of CyberPunk 2077, Assetto Corsa and WWE 2k22 are all fairly new games that have gotten this feature.
Which leads me to speculating that the actual option for multiple games should roll out within the next few months.
Its been a long time since we got any updates on actually being able to select this option for any game, but now seeing games begin to actually offer the option in them makes me think sony will officially offer it for any game in your PS5 console settings at some point fairly soon.
