Need for Speed Unbound has been released and after 3 days of playing I have now completed the main story. Here you can see the final event called "The Grand", which is a series of elimination races in 4 different car classes. I am using 4 different cars that were not in NFS Heat and 3 that are completely new to the NFS franchise.

At the start of the game you can choose between a Charger, Countach and Silvia but after the prologue the car will be taken away from you. Then you have 4 weeks to prepare cars for 4 different car classes to compete in "The Grand", where you can win your car back.

I ended up getting 4 cars that were not in NFS Heat with the returning Mitsubishi Eclipse and the brand new Lotus Emira, Corvette C8 and modern Countach. I also tuned my cars for max grip because the drift handling is very poor for me in this game, with the cars constantly not doing what I want. The grip handling feels a lot better, although it's still not fully on par with the handling in classic NFS games, Forza Horizon or The Crew.

Completing the story took me around 20 hours, although the length can vary quite a lot based on how many races you are doing each day.

Next I will work on the collectibles and activities and after that I will have a look at the separate multiplayer mode, which I haven't tried at all yet.
