NFTs - How Blockchain Can Transform The Way We Play Video Games
29NFTs, or Non-Fungible Tokens, are a new method of digitally "owning" and "trading" such items as rare art, collectibles and even real estate titles. NFTs utilize blockchain technology, distributed ledger, and smart contracts as a way of verifying digital ownership of an item, and thus have potentially limitless applications in video games.
Implemented correctly, they could potentially change the way video games are even played as we speak, particularly MMOs and RPGs, where the rarity of items, equipment and treasures can extend beyond a single gameplay experience, and shared by that game's entire community.
