Let me tell you about this game.
The lower you fly, the faster you go. So by scraping into the ground I can reach speeds of over 3000 when normally Id be going in the mid 2000's. But if you bump into the wrong jagged mountain you go flying into the sky which really slows you down.
You can skip one checkpoint per race. This allows for some interesting routing opportunities.
You can also skip the finish line checkpoint and the game still records your time. I do this in Husavik where I go through it backwards. I probably could have turned in sharper on some of the other stages but ┐(´ー｀)┌.
I'm using the arcade control mode. This doesn't allow the plan to fly upside-down but provides better control. If I were doing a longer race the pro control mode would be better, because flying upside-down through afterburner rings gives double the afterburner. But time trial mode only records fastest laps, and the races are 9 laps long so I probably won't be doing that.
