The party has released the froggy Prince Ali from the prison cell in the Vault of Tears. Now, they lead the prince south to the magic circle that turned them back to normal. Unfortunately, as I suspected, it does not work on him. Ali is not very surprised, either. His curse is being driven by Aapep.

Ali guides the party back to the large room to the north, where the door is locked (time index 3:03). It sounds like the party needs to find a key. There is a clue in Ali's cell (time index 3:47).

It may not be readily apparent, but the clue is telling the party to move the stone statues on either side of the door in the large room (time index 4:28). Oliver has to use Puppet String to move the two statues around and put each one in the position that the other statue occupied on either side of the door. This does not open the door, but it does lower the water level so that the party can explore the dungeon more freely.

The party first goes south and follows the path west. It eventually leads back to the entrance hall. Be careful not to pass in front of the snake statue again, or the party will become froggies again.

At Level 27, Sid the Sweetpea Sprite learns Water Cannon (time index 9:35).

In the southeastern room (time index 10:54), the party can now start raiding the place's treasures. In the southeast corner of the square-shaped hall, a blue chest contains a Pie on the Bone (time index 11:10). Sounds a little gross, to be honest.

The corridor to the south is guarded by nix traps, so it is a good idea to use Levitate. Along the way, Esther tames a Najalisk named Obelisk (time index 12:15). In the cubbyhole to the south and east, a red chest contains a Sage's Secret (time index 13:18).

In the previously flooded northeast room (time index 15:23), at the northern end of the room, there is a green chest on the opposite side of the grate with some Storm Serpent Scales (time index 15:36). There is an unopenable purple chest on the east side of the room.

On the southwest side of the lower level, the party can find a blue chest underneath the southern platform with the Serpent Key (time index 17:10). Just be careful of the Nix Trap in front of the archway.

On the eastern side of the southern platform, the party can hop across a set of pillars to reach a long hallway in the southeast corner. Make sure Levitate is on before going through the door. At the end of the corridor, there is a red chest containing a Green Man's Cloak (time index 18:14).

The Serpent Key will unlock the door in the northwest chamber, but it leads directly to the next boss battle. So, the party rests up at the Waystone in Prince Ali's cell.
