Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch #115, Post-Glittering Grotto: Errands #061, #083
This is video #115 in my playthrough of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. This video does not contain commentary. To view the commentary version, click here: http://youtu.be/Xl4JMpeHKhE
Naturally, now that the party has defeated Cerboreas in the Glittering Grotto, a couple of new Errands have become available in Yule: Errands #061 and #083.
The client for Errand #061: Yule Have to Search is a shawled Tomte in the middle of the northern part of town (time index 0:29). The unfortunate lady has lost her boy.
The client for Errand #083: Notes from the Snow is standing right outside the village chief's house (time index 1:48). Oh dear, this guy has lost his diary yet *again*? He's worse than those traveling merchants! Oh, well; at least the dratted thing is easy enough to find.
To find information about the missing boy for Errand #061, the party can chat with a boy near the village's northern exit (time index 4:38). The little boy points them north to the Glittering Grotto. Oh, dear, the little Tomte has probably been eaten up by monsters... But just in case, the party had better check.
Leaving town, they Travel to the Glittering Grotto. The little Tomte boy's location is clearly pinpointed by a glowing dot to the northwest. When the party reaches the boy's location (time index 9:41), they find him cornered by a vicious monster with a taste for Tomte. The beast is a Water Ogrrr, accompanied by three Turban Legends. Just roast the enemies with Fire-based attacks, and they should go down quickly enough.
At Level 34, Lemahl the Aye-Aye Catcher learns Upsy-Daisy (time index 13:18). This trick is why I put him down the Aye-Aye Catcher path; Upsy-Daisy can revive a knocked out ally.
Now that the Water Ogrrr and its Turban Legends are history, the party can chat with the Tomte boy (time index 14:49). Oliver takes him back home to Yule automatically.
Back in Yule (time index 15:40), the party can talk to the Tomte mother to get their rewards for Errand #061: a Medal of Valor: 2,000 Guilders, and 5 Merit Stamps. Very nice!
Now, there is the matter of the diary for Errand #083. To get that, the party has to visit the hidden Forest Glade west of Yule (time index 17:27). There, they can chat with the short native lady. She remembers the posh gentleman, and she hands over his Traveler's Diary. Maybe we should pick up some crazy glue to stick it to his trousers, too.
Back in Yule, the party delivers the Traveler's Diary to its owner yet again (time index 19:45). For completing this, the gentleman rewards them with a Suit of Dress Armor, 2,000 Guilders, and 5 Merit Stamps. The party also gets a bonus Merit Stamp.
In Swift Solutions, the party redeems 4 Merit Stamp Cards for the Jack of Hearts prize (time index 21:09). This helpful ability improves the chances of recruiting familiars.
Finally, they Travel to the Deep Dark Wood to rest for free. They also switch around their familiars around a little bit. I know I haven't used Shonky the Trumpy-Pumper a lot, but he will soon learn an ability that will make him incredibly useful.
In the next video, they will finish completing Errand #059 to raise Jabbo the Jabberguppy up to Level 40 for the ghost girl in Sleety Hollow.
Thanks for watching!
