NICK54222 MUGEN: Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia VS Dan Hibiki 2x
5You know, it's interesting to note the backstory behind Dan Hibiki's existence.
It all started when Ryo Sakazaki debuted in the first Art of Fighting game and had a karate gi similar to Ryu's from Street Fighter. In "retaliation," Capcom included Dan Hibiki as a secret character in Street Fighter Alpha. His design bares resemblance to both Ryu and Robert, with Ryo's attire albeit in pink instead of orange and Robert's hair and facial features. His fighting style, known as Saikyo-ryu, parodies Kyokugenryu Karate from Art of Fighting. There's a ton of other references to not just Art of Fighting, but KOF as a whole. Heck, his Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter ending is a parody of the Arcade ending of Art of Fighting!
