2B awakes staring at the Earth from some sort of space station alongside 9S. Turns out that 9S uploaded both his and 2B's memories before the explosion, sadly 9S couldn't upload all of his and only has memories prior to them meeting up. A quick history lesson follows informing us about the events that lead to the current state of the world. 2B and 9S are assigned another mission on Earth. They are to meet up and assist the Resistance that is stationed on Earth. Upon arriving at the base they quickly ask for assistance and point us to those that can offer information in exchange for help.
